Downtown!
A classic roller dance group step you’re going to want to learn so we can all downtown together!
This video explains the Downtown ‘basic’ which you can add to later with a whole bunch of variations and routines.

First, step it out:
1. Heel goes forward
2. Step onto that foot
3. Cross over
4. Step out to the side
5. Cross under
6. Step out to the side
7. Finish with the heel going forward again (ready to repeat in the other direction).

Now try rolling a bit more. Your feet don’t have to fully cross every time, but make parallel lines, drawing a big “V” shape as you travel left to right and then right to left. Always finish the line with the heel out in front.

It is VERY important to keep your knees soft, bent and bouncy for this move - it won’t work if your knees are straight.

Have FUN and play with it! Downtowning with friends is the best 😉
